Number of Sessions:
Human Givens therapy is brief effective and aims to work with our clients to achieve the outcomes they want in as short a time-frame as possible, and for them to move on, fully equipped for their next life chapter.
Research shows that more than 3 in 4 clients were either symptom free or significantly recovered in an average of only 3.6 sessions.* Most people see significant progress in 4-6 sessions although some people require only one or two sessions to achieve their desired results. Some people with more complex difficulties may require more.
Our fees reflect these highly effective and long-term outcomes.
*Research published in: Psychology and Psychotherapy: Theory, Research & Practice
Cancellation Policy:
A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for rescheduling or cancelling client appointments. The full fee will be charged for sessions missed without such notification.
In the event of a serious accident, emergency, or other similar situation outside the client’s control, please deal with your situation first and notify us at the earliest convenient time.
Outcome Measures
We use various measures to gauge each client’s progress and response to treatment. If clients are happy to do so they may be asked to complete a brief anonymised questionnaire, which is designed to help the therapist understand the client’s needs, how best to help them, and to evaluate treatments and outcomes.
Health Insurance:
Some clients may have coverage through their healthcare insurer. However, we are unable to communicate directly with insurers, and we do not have an electronic claims system. It is the client's responsibility to determine if their insurance provider covers psychotherapy services, to pay for the session at the time of consultation, and to submit a claim to their insurer if applicable. We endeavour do our best to assist with the claims process.
